GREENFIRE
v1.30Browser update

Find your angle.
Enjoy the chaos.

A good shot starts with a clear view. This update makes it easier to look around the battlefield, brings a little more life to the landscape, and helps you set up your next ridiculous match.

Watching someone else play Greenfire made one thing clear: the camera controls weren’t as obvious as they needed to be. Players should be working out their next shot, not hunting for the right way to look at a tank.

Look around without changing your shot.

The camera now has clearer destinations:

  • My Tank brings you back to your tank. In local hot-seat play, it follows the current shooter.
  • View Target lets you inspect the selected tank without changing your aim.
  • All Tanks gives you the battlefield overview.

Rotate View moves the camera. Turret Rotation changes where you aim. Those controls are now labeled separately, and you can inspect another tank with a single click on the tank, its roster entry, or its minimap marker.

Manual camera movement starts from the view you’re actually seeing, making it easier to take over from the action camera. Small Camera Tips explain the controls; hide them when you’re comfortable and reopen them when needed.

You can still aim and fire from an inspected view. The familiar Action and Wide shot cameras remain, including the pullback when you fire so you can follow the shot and its chain reactions.

A little more life. A little more boom.

Trees and rocks form more varied groups around the battlefield. Explosions have clearer bright cores, shaped smoke, and distinct fire, dirt and water effects.

The goal is to make the action easier to read while keeping the game lightweight. The scenery uses the same overall object budget, and decorative smoke is limited during crowded explosions. These are visual changes: weapon prices, damage, terrain physics and turn timing stay the same.

Make the next battle yours.

At the end of Quick Play, Customize Your Next Battle now takes the lead. Add more tanks, try teams, choose different walls or terrain, and set a starting weapon budget.

Play Same Setup Again is still available. Opening customization lets you choose your settings before the next match starts.

Tell me how it feels.

Try inspecting a target, rotating the view, and firing from there. Is it clearer where to look and what each control does? If something feels awkward or an effect causes a pause, please tell me what happened and which browser and device you used.
